Bone Health

Osteoporosis is characterized by low bone density which can lead to increased bone fragility and risk of bone fractures. With peak bone mass reached between 25-30 years of age, osteoporosis is more prevalent with advancing age, especially post menopause. The international Society of Clinical Densitometry and the WHO recommend that all women 65 years or above, males 70 years or above and post-menopausal females get tested for bone density of hip and spine.
